Come with us to a place once abandoned. See the walls that still keep standing? Touch them. Feel their breath. Let them take you deeper within.

Traces of Human Presence is an intimate site-specific piece of encounter. It doesn't search to explain nor educate. It explores, recalls, remembers. It is a visit.
We believe a physical environment carries memories of beings that shaped it with their lives. "The still" recalls "that which moved". Have you seen the person that left the room just before you did? Touch the chair. It is still warm.

You will come and go, just as people did for generations, while their enviromnent and their ways of life keep changing. We invite the visitors to observe the space and for a brief period of time inhabit it with us.
The project travels from place to place exploring and forwarding the history of each building it is hosted in. We research the natural way how people orient themselves in space and how they influence it by simply living there. It consists in a long term exploration of psychology of space in artistic context.

The photos above were taken in the Noble Brewery of Libeň, Prague - Studio Alta's new spaces. The photos below were taken in its' former residency, the Invalids' House.
"It is an unusual, almost zen-like experience, delicate, fragile and strong... Thank you and I do recommend it."
"Je to nevšední, až zenový zážitek, jemný, křehký a silný... Díky a doporučuji."
- Roman Černík, director of Moving Station, Pilsen
Thank you for watching.

Let's meet in another space.
